Well... I love In The Groove.. If I dont play it for long enough I get ansy and i go through withdrawls? normal? likely not. I can do good on my fingers but im a lazy arse and can only manage 8 Hards on my feet. But ill get there.. just gotta try a little more.. It would also help if i had a PS2 it blew up from playing it to much..  so now i have nothing to play on.. but i just recently downloaded stepmania.. with all ITG1 and ITG2 songs..

current mood: blah

2:42 pm - Supernova

Thought I'd post on here since no one has in a long long time. Has anyone played supernova yet? I think it's pretty fun. Alot harder than extreme. I've only played a few times so far so I can't say which songs I like the best. If y'all have played tell me what songs you like. Anyway Lata

10:55 am - Sell me ITG

Okay, I'm getting sick of DDR, but I still want to groove. I've got Konamix, Max and Max2, I've done the songs ten thousand times over, and I'm thinking of buying ITG/ITG2 and Disney mix, but that's an Ebay story for later (unless Topsy Turvey is on the mix, in which case that bitch is MINE).

It's got a lot of fans around here. Convince me. Sell it to me. Why do I need to buy ITG?

EDIT: Problem solved! I JUST bought Extreme 2. I'm excited. ^_^

I enjoy playing DDR. DDR seems so much easier now since I have been playing ITG2 a lot. The platforms where I play DDR are not the best. I need to learn to compensate for bad pads.

11:29 am - OMFG

EDIT= Dammit. It's just for the winter celebration thing. It'll be gone soon. Well. That just ruined my next semester. Bah. I think I'll write to someone high up and go, "PLEEEEEEEASE?! You know it'll be a good investment!"

11:41 pm - well now.

I'm really pleased to see lots of ITG talk here (but I'm probably biased. I moderate thegroove). Admittedly, I've been playing ITG2 more often than anything else, but sometimes I feel nostalgic and get on a DDREX machine.

I play heavy/oni and stick to nines. I'd say more challenging 7s and 8s are my strong point, but I like pushing myself. But I haven't played DDR in a few weeks. What songs would you suggest as warm-ups? (I'm great at runs, but need to practice crossovers and gallops.)

Anyone have any tips to help me teach my bf how to get better at ddr? I'm trying to teach him. He keeps leaving one foot stationary. I am trying to tell him not to put his feet back in the center and to move both feet but I don't know what else to tell him. Anyone have any ideas?

I've been playing a lot more ITG2 than DDR recently. I like the difficulty better.
Any of you agree/disagree?

8:06 pm - ...recent accomlishments...

DDR accomplishments of today: (click titles for photos)

[Twilight Zone] - AA on Heavy - I’m pretty proud of this one.

[So Deep] - A on Heavy - I was 3 steps away from AA-ing it.. (That really pissed me off.) I got pretty tired after 420 combos…so I slipped up a bit. ^^;

[Still in my Heart] - A on Heavy - Not my worse…but not my best. There’s room for improvement.

[Kakumei] - A on Challenge - The gallops messed me up near the end. *shrug*

11:16 pm - ITG in Christchurch

My city finally has ITG. It's on a really old DDR machine so on 1P the down arrow is iffy and on 2P the up arrow is almost impossible and the right arrow is dodgy. So, even though I'm enjoying watching my friends play I'm not too keen on getting into it until it's on a machine with pads that work properly. See, I quit DDR because of bad knees and I'd prefer not to be stomping about on a new game and ruining them AGAIN, but I am getting rather unfit and would like to do a little dancing again, so back into DDR I go until they fix the crappiness of the "new" ITG.

My friend has been using a memory card on it. We checked the stats and apparently the machine thinks the date is somewhere in 2003. Also, the ITG machine has replaced the Pump It Up machine. I'm not sure what kind of business plan Coin Cascade have but I think they just hurt themselves a little by angering all the Koreans. Sometimes I'm convinced I'd do a better job of marketing games than their current marketing manager. I wouldn't say it for certain though, it's just a frustration I have.

I suppose by now, y'all are pretty well aquainted with my style of Dancing-- musically motivated. I bet I'm not the only one.
What song moves you to go all-out just because you love the song. Regardless of the level of the song, you just dance like crazy because you're so happy hearing the music?
For me, it's Rhythm and Police. I *freak **out*** at that song, and I do it on Standard. I'm above that level by a lot, but it doesn't matter. It's so much fun!
What song gets you goin' no matter what?

11:51 pm - Otakon

Hey! Just wondering who'll be at Otakon this year... hopefully I'll make it into a DDR competition for once (last year we ran late and everybody was already in there... sadness) and hopefully they have RedOctane Ignition 3.0's there instead of the Cobalt Fluxes (they suck for short people!)

Keep a look out for either Yagami Taichi from Digimon or a really punky looking Furry-ish chick decked out in Hot Topic clothes and rainbows. ^^

12:04 am - Fuck this.
tyty573 Ever do hella good on a song, and fuck it up, then not be able to do it again? Seems like i've been having a lot of these flukes of skill, which is very frustrating because i'd really like to be able to repeat some of these accomplishments, or improve on them.

Like theseCollapse )

Then again, i couldn't do any of these a few months ago... So i guess i am getting better. Its just these spurts that get me all hyped up, then losing it, are so damned annoying.
